McKinney Boyd HS Band

Symphonic Band II is our third band and is comprised of students in all four grades.  To be a member of this group, a student must demonstrate musical maturity, technical proficiency, and commitment to rehearsal and practice time.  Participation in the all-region band audition is highly encouraged but not required. Preparing and performing a solo at the McKinney I.S.D. solo and ensemble competition is highly encouraged. Preparing and performing an ensemble is required for all members of the band. Private lessons are strongly encouraged.
